unauthorized sytem restore

A few days ago I turned on my computer and noticed that my entire computer
changed. It looked like somebody pulled me back to an old system restore.
(All these programs like winxp tour and microsoft money were reinstalled.) I
had bought this computer in 2001 and the only time I made a restore point was
in 2002. Then I saw that one of my recent programs such as firefox and Ut
2004 was still on my computer!!! What is this? Is this a virus or did I do
something realy weird?

Can somebody tell me whats going on?
