I have XP installed on two pc's (original seperate copy on each machine!) I
also have NIS2004 installed on both pc's (again seperate copies with
different renewal dates). I have not had ANY problems with SP2 one version
had the update the other came with SP2. During NIS live update ages ago it
recommended only having one firewall and NIS disable XP firewall for me. I
have now noticed that some websites take ages to load and thinking they were
being blocked I checked XP firewall. What I found on both machines is that XP
firewall is enabled as is XP anti virus and I had them both disabled. Also I
cannot alter the settings...it wont let me turn the XP firewall off or the XP
antivirus. Finally...sorry for the long post...I have automatic updates on
but not automatic install now it is set for automatic install on both
    machines.
Any idea's anyone? The machines seem to be working OK apart from the
sometimes slow to load sites which could be a lot of traffic anyway and not
    related

    regards

    Andrew
