When I initially turn on my computer I have a warning and am told to click a
balloon icon at the bottom of page that flashes a danger warning and told to
click on an icon for more info. I click the icon and 3 main security issues
appear 1. firewall: ON 2. something else is ON and 3.says I do not have an
antivirus protection. I just bought a product called "winantivirus" a week
ago for $50.00. It appears like I am notified about virus activity when it is
detected. Why does my computer not recognize the antivirus program I just
recently bought? Is it really there or have I not actually installed it and
just paid for it? I am really confused. When a box pops up informing me a
virus has been detected, I chose the quarrentine option first... I then get
another message saying cannot quarrentine or method I chose is unsuccessful
providing me with 3 options to choose from a)ignore b) delete entire file c)
remove later? I always choose the option to delete the file and then my
computer shuts down and restarts. After I select delete the file, I never
receive any info. that this virus file has been deleted as I requested? What
is really going on? Do I not have something set appropriatly so the antivirus
I purchased is not being noticed or what? I am extremely computer ignorant. I
have done what microsoft security reccommends to see if I have any antivirus
protection by clicking start, programs and looking for anything that states
antivirus and I see the "winantivirus" icon. Is that all I need to see to
know it exist? If so why do I get this initial warning that I do not have a
protection of an antivirus. Any advice is tremendously appreciated. Thx
Tracey
