Failed downloads

    im getting alot of popups on web pages and so have been trying to download,
    spybot search and destroy, ive used a number of sources and the download will
    fail at the very end and the following appears "Cannot copy file: cannot read
    from the source file or disk" this has happened with every download (done
    about 12 of them) and it also happened with anoughter file i tried to
    download.

    the pop ups come up every few min and its really annoying im running XP and
    am trying to get the SP2 but the download isnt working (stops part way
    throught). does any one know any free reliable downloads that i can use (ive
    got ad-aware and spyware blaster and they are not working)
