PC switches itself on when phone rings

This may be a simple problem, but I'm a simple person!
Every time the telephone rings my pc switches itself on! sometimes does it
without the phone ringing. Only started happening after installing service
pack 2.
Am guessing its a security thing. Event viewer(security) talks about
authentication packages being loaded, and mentions LSASRV.dll
Please help, my knowledge of XP is limited & my girlfriend wants to fry the
computer!!
