How do I remove unwanted sites from my trusted list?

I am trying to remove some sites from my trusted sites list. I have tried
going through: tools-internet options-security-trusted sites... but it will
not let me remove them. The Remove button will not come on, and I can't add
the sites on my restricted list until I remove them from the trusted list. I
keep getting pop-ups from these sites and a tool bar that I do not
want.....can anyone please help me?I would greatly appreciate it...
