I am trying to lock down IE in a high school student lab. The last hole that
I can't seem to close is the search feature in Internet Explorer. I have
already set the GP that disables F3, disabled local file URLs, and hidden the
local C:\ drive. However, all a student has to do is go to View->Explorer
Bar->Search, and the search sidebar opens. This allows them to run searches
in the local c: drive and run command prompts, regedit, etc. Any ideas how
to either prevent searches by a specific user, or remove the View menu from
IE altogether?
