a workgroup is something completely different. that would only be used if
you had two or more computers on your local network and wanted to organize
them in the network neighborhood.
yes, it is recommended that you use a non-admin account for daily stuff and
only use an administrator account when you really need it... say for doing
things like adding hardware, updating drivers, installing patches,
installing new software, etc.
