Include Spybot S&D in your anti-spyware programs and run them in safe mode
Spybot Search and Destroy

A Description of Safe Mode Boot Options in Windows XP

If that wont get rid of the parasite, edit the registry to remove the bug
from there:
Start\Run\regedit.msc\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\
Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and Run-
only the default alphanumeric value should be running in both keys.
Any other value should be considered suspicious.
Also look in the LOCAL_MACHINE\same path; only the default alphanumeric
value
and some antivirus entries should be in the Run key and only the default
alphanumeric
value and your installed programs entries (if any) should be in the Run-
key...
any other value should be considered suspicious and deleted after creating a
backup
just in case of mistake. In the Run or Run- key, right click/select
Export.. this creates
a backup of the key that inclydes the suspected value.
After all has been solved, delete the backed up key files or edit them
by deleting the line where the parasite is located.
