Wrong. Backweb isn't malware in and of itself. It's a "content" delivery
program which can is designed to be used as a component by other systems.

Those other systems may well be malware themselves, or they may well not be.
That website and your statement is like claiming that the .net framework is
malware because some adware also uses that.

I'd suggest the original poster scans with a decent spyware scanner and a
decent virus scanner to check what is on their system, and also finds out
what application installed backweb and why it installed it. This is where
the answer lies, not with backweb itself.
