Bill please repost to the specific group for the support of your preview
program copy of Windows XP x64 Edition.
Access to this group is covered at
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/64bit/evaluation/upgrade.mspx
As regards applications running on x64 - I run a large number of 32-bit
applications without any issues at all.
Obviously you cannot run a 32-bit program that requires a device driver that
is not 64-bit (anti virus programs etc).
