Adware/Spyware

My son downloaded something and apparently I now have adware. I run Norton
anti-virus and it tells of many Adware files. I have downloaded and ran
Ad-Adware. When I start Internet Explorer it makes my default home page
MyFunStart.ncom. It appears that it cannot complete a complete Ad-Aware
scan. It scans for a while, then locks up (the computer doesn't lock up, but
the number of files scanned stays locked, currently at 99086). Someone
please help. My computer is slow as can be, driving me nuts.
