SP2 won't believe me

Every morning, when I boot up, I get a message saying my computer isn't
protected and that I need to use the firewall.

And every morning I check the box that says I already HAVE a firewall that I
will monitor myself, and ask SP2 not to keep reminding me.

But every morning, that warning shows up, and the box is unchecked.

What can I do?
