Alex:
I uninstalled the SP2, reloaded Windows XP Professional, downloaded 16
updates, and then reinstalled SP2. When I restarted my computer I did not
turn on the automatic updates. Then, I went to the virus "shield" and told it
to "unblock" SO far it seems to be working.
