Security Center allows heavy security risk

When installing the Norton WMI Update I choose for "Do not share Norton
security status with other products". Nevertheless Windows Security Center
displays: "Norton AntiVirus (NAV) reports that it is up to date and virus
scanning is on". This is a heavy security risk because even when Auto-Protect
of NAV is disabled, Windows Security Center displays the same message. Is it
possible to correct this on a user level or have the developers to do some
redesigning?
