Corrupted registry and "no" admin password

My windows registry has been corrupted. I am following
instructions in Microsoft document 307545. So, I only
have access to the restore console. I need my admin
password but never set one up (system came with XP
installed). How do I get the admin passowrd or reset
without reloading XP?
