Normally, in Docs&Settings one sees a folder named All Users and then
(the profiles) ones named as were each account when first used.
If there are issues with a profile that becomes unusable then a new one
gets created, often with an name ending in .001, .002, etc.
When a machine allows login by account from (one or more) domain(s)
and there is a conflict with a local account that has the same name or
already existing profile by the name, then the new one created is named
.domain or .windows for the local. Etc.
Default User is used as the prototype that is copied when a new profile
gets created, and All Users is, as you have guessed, merged with each
individual account's profile for use.
On your machine evidently there was an issue with the original All Users
so you have a system now using All Users.Windows
