Simon and Andr'e -- Thanks for your feedback.
In the early AM, I belatedly searched the newsgroup text for "Crypto*" and
found a reference to Knowledge Base Article #822798. While the specific
update was not cited in the article, the comment -- "Setup could not verify
the integrity of the file Update.inf. Make sure the Cryptographic service is
running on this computer" -- was shown.
Four resolutions to the problem were offered. # 1 and #2 failed. #3 worked.
Regardless, I'm going to check out your suggestions. Thanks again.
