My advice would be to use "Stop Sign" by E anthology. This is anti virus
software but also includes many other great features such as spyware removal
& pop up blocker, both actually work! I realize you already have Norton but
in my opinion Stop Sign is the best on the market by far, for the average
user. I pay a$4 fee per month for the 'premium service'. It would be well
worth it for you because it could very possibly cure all the problems you
mentioned.
