Unchangeable read-only attribute

Hi to all,

I've got a problem I hope you can help me to resolve.

I was trying to create a limited account to consent my
father to use my PC without causing problems of any type.

To reduce this possibility to the minimum I set a
password for my administrator account: after that,
windows XP asked me if i wanted to protect all my files
from other users; it seems to me good, so I have clicked
on "yes". I discovered only later that XP assigned the
read-only attribute to ALL the folders, subfolders and
files in C:, fact that I absolutely didn't want to
succeed.

I tried to change this attribute by myself, no way to do
it from the folders (I've been able to remove it only
from the files, but not from folders and subfolders):
even if I remove my password from the account, XP doesn't
ask to me if I want to de-protect them.

Any ideas on how I can solve this problems? Maybe XP has
all the folders with a green square in "read only" by
default? I'm not sure of anything, at this point. Anyone
of you can illuminate me, please? :-)
