Hi,
I'am in the middle of setting up group policies to secure our domain
connected XP workstations, its all going well apart from I cant find a way to
prevent users from using Search to find hidden files if they select "search
hidden files and folders", via the "more advanced options" section of search.
Our users do use the search option so although you can compltly disable
search via group policy this is not an option.
Does any one have any suggestions ? as to how to prevent users from being
able to search for hidden files via the search tool. As if our users can
search for hidden files system files etc can be copied to other locations
renamed and then run.
By-passing the disallowed applications list i have set up via GP.
Thanks
Gordon
