The administrator by default can save to any directory on the computer. It is
possible you are not logged on as an administrator. You can use [ net user username ]
and [ net localgroup administrators ] to see membership of the local administrators
group. Just because you are the owner, does not mean you are logged on as an
administrator. The reason it asks to use your documents directory is because by
default users have write access to their profile folders which may be the only place
thay can write to. My comments reflect experience with XP Pro and XP Home may
