Windows XP Home or Professional?
Is it a name-brand or home-grown PC (Dell, HP, etc - or no-name?)
Did you install Windows XP yourself or was it already installed?
Do you understand the concept of safe mode?
Have you tried pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL twice and entering administrator as the
username with no password?
Is the account you log in with actually *the* administrator account, or does
it have another name?
