How to reinstall an expired version of a trial program

I recently downloaded and installed a 30-day trial
version of a program but never got to actually try it.
When I finally tried to use it, the 30 days were over. I
downloaded and reinstalled it, but it seems it still
remembers the first download. Anything I can do?
