Theres plenty of software.. check www.google.ca(OR MSN
search...) with the keywords POPUP + BLOCKER or the like
http://www.webroot.com/
has a program called spysweeper it might help.
Also you can disable popups
http://www.panicware.com/product_psfree.html
is the first program. in the list.
also you can press <alt> + "F4" to close windows.
Upon installing certain software etc.. you may have your
browsing severly impared you start page is changed and you
get redirects to other "Ad or Search engine" type sites
whenever a page comes up error return or every so often
for no particular reason.
If the spy sweeper doesn't do it and your not up for using
popup blocker software you can see about restricting all
the domains that are adware type domains like for instance
http://www.ads123.com or whatever the case may be. This
can get consuming and its be nice to have an auto compiled
list added and downloadable as a counter spam messure so
that none of those domains will come up when browsing the
net.
