Help, what is this file??! (Anyone? JJones CFrisch)

     I appreciate your help... as for "CareyFrisch" he seemd
    more dismissive then helpful, which is what bothered me;
    maybe I was overly sensitive because I am frustrated w/
    this mysterious file. I Appologize and would still
    appreciate any help.

    Anyway... here is the whole scoop
     
    Perflib_Perfdata_488 is a file in my
    documents&settings/temp folder which seems to be
    active/running (as I cannot delete it, nor can Norton
    Antivirus scan it) It is new; I have not seen it before,
    yet it always gives a creation date of the last time I
    started my computer. Updated virus scans don't seem to
    find it as a virus... what is it? and if it is malevolant,
    HOW can I get rid of it? ANY help is appreciated.
