Security Updates - KB835732
Date: Sat, 24 Apr 2004 14:35:22 -0700
When autoupdate installs the KB835732 security update,
the volume icon in the notification tray disappears when
the system reboots. All attempts redisplay the icon
using the check boxes in the Audio & Sound folder on the
Control Panel and using the "Customize" options from the
properties box for the notification area don't work. The
only way I can recover the sound icon to the notification
area is to do a system restore to a point prior to
installing this update. .... and then of course it tells
me I need to install the security update (again)!
...
Any ideas how to fix this and still get updated?
