Hi Marilyn,

If the popup was generated by your Automatic Update settings, the
download/install process should have been fairly seemless. You shouldn't
have reached a dead end. This causes me to wonder if the "message" you
received is legitimate.

The specific update in question can be found in the link that is part of
this KB Article:

RECOMMENDATION:

Rather than attempting to install this one patch, I recommend you visit the
Windows Update site and have it scan your computer for any/all needed
critical updates. Here is the link to Windows Updates:

Install all critical updates the scan tool says you need.
