You only need to take ownership of the area(s) this
is(are) inaccessible while the drive is attached to the
other system. However, doing this to profiles will
often render them useless as profiles once the drive
is again used as a bootable system. This may not be
an issue as you are likely planning on a lowlevel format
and reinstall to see if it cures the delayed write issues.
