Admin rights

I am upgrading a large number of users to Win XP Pro.
Certain applications and devices need to have admin
rights for there installation but do not need them for
thier operation. I currently have a batch file that will
automatically add my users to the local admin group, I am
looking for a way to have them removed automatically.

Also can SMS poll a machine and tell me if a UID has
local admin rights?
