I am not an MS person, but I will take a poke at your two ??s
Why was ASR excluded from Home edition?
Probably because ASR is most useful in a multi-machine
server environment where the ASR backs up to a remote,
and this is not the 80% target market for Home edition.
Also, they had to come up with some things to leave out in
order to justify the two editions and their price difference.
Is there a way to get ASR ?
Obviously the supported way is to upgrade to Pro edition.
