forgotten Administrator Password

I have somehow managed to forget the exact spelling of my
computer's adminstrator's account. I know what the
password hint it, so I have a basic idea of what the pass
would be but no matter what I try, using caps, spaces,
different arrangements (the password hints are our 3
birthday months) nothing seems to work. I seen somewhere
how to bypass this and set up another account (and loosing
some excrypted stuff or something in the process) but I
can't seem to find that either. I am at this point
willing to loose whatever I need to loose in order to make
an administrator password that I can actually remember and
access the account
