I lost my administrator account

Hello
I was deleting some users accounts from windows xp. But the
I left the user account with administrator priveleges, Now
when I want to download something, I have the message
acess denied or don't have adminstrator privileges. Try to
change the setting by going to
control panel/ administrator tools/computer management/
users / administrator
but it doenot work . I get the same message acess denied .

I tried to add the current user list to administrator group
but it doesnot work.

Please tell me what to do .
