(This post is probably in the wrong area, but I didn't
know where else to put it - sorry!)

    I downloaded certain programs
(freeware/shareware/software) to my computer from the
internet. My computer currently runs on Windows 98.

I then went to several computers on the network, some of
which run Windows xp, and copied over the program's .exe
files from my computer to install on the other network
    computers. Everything ran smoothly.

A few weeks ago however, we moved to a server, and
networked every computer through it. Now, the programs
that I installed on the Windows xp computers, have come
up with a common error, along the lines of:

"The system cannot find the path specified".

I then tried to remove the programs using the 'Add/Remove
programs' from the control panel, but I get these errors:

"Unable to create registry Key" or "You do not have admin
    rights".

I've tried to access and delete the programs from my
original Windows 98 computer, since the programs were
copied from there initally, but it doesn't have any
affect on the Windows xp computers.
I also tried to download the programs from the internet
again, and so re install them (thus overwriting the old
programs), but I receive the error "Unable to execute
    specific command line".
I've even tried deleting the files through the DOS
command prompt, but it comes up "Access Denied".

I don't know what else to do, short of getting a tech to
    come help.

    Any help would be appricated.
    Thanks.
