Dear poster.

Don't disable the Administrator account to try to resolve this. Use these
steps instead:

1. Click Start, and then click Run.

2. In the Open box, type "control userpasswords2" (without the
quotation marks), and then click OK.

3. In the dialog box that appears, check the "Users must enter a user
name and password to use this computer" check box, and then click OK.

| windows XP professional.

every time i start my pc, the computer logs in to the administrator account.
i had to disable the built in administrator account. now whenever i start
the pc
a message comes up that says "your 'the administrator' account had been
disabled",
then it goes the welcome screen.

i tried everything to avoid logging in as an administrator, disabling it
was the only
solution, but it's still not good enough, i dont want to enable that
account every time
i want to use it.

one other thing is that, i dont remember making any changes to make the
computer
log in to the administrator account, i usually choose my name from the
welcome screen.

help please.
