I performed step one successfully -- copying from repair
directory to system32\config directory.
Step two is where I encounter a problem. The XP starts
fine in Safe mode or normal mode. However, I can't enter a
Admin password. Everthyting freezes after I try to enter
the password. In fact, I can't even enter the password.
Right after I click an Admin Icon, and whatever I enter in
the password field, the keyboard locks as well as the
system. I even tried to clik the next without entering
password, the system displays that I forgot to enter one.
But again as soon as I type a key in the password field,
the whole system locks. I do have the good Admin password.
