Setting up password for classic mode on XP Prof.

I just recently purchased Window XP Professional. I am
trying to set up my password so that it opens in the
classic mode where when the computer turns on, you must
type in your password to open the computer. I can't
figure out how to do that. Could someone please explain
this procedure?
