I am trying to upgrade Windows XP on my computer to SP1 which is a critical update from Microsoft. I get an error message as follows:
Setup could not verify the integrity of the file Update.inf.
Make sure Cryptographic Service is running on this computer.
I have disabled Norton antivirus and the Cryptographic Service says it is running. What do I need to do to get it to work. Microsoft won't let me install any security patches until SP1 is installed. Please help.
