I have a similar problems concerning file access. My hard
drive crashed, and Dell sent me a new one. I was able to
slave the old drive and recover most of the data to the
new hard drive (newly reinstalled windows), which I want
to restore to the new drive. Windows XP won't let me see
my own old files, presumably because I was logged on as a
different user/administrator under the old drive version
of xp. Short of hooking up the old drive as the main
drive, and booting from it, is there another way around
this?
