Disk Cleanup stalls...

...cleanmgr.exe version 6.0.2600.0 does not work. It
opens, displays about one-fifth of the progress bar and
stalls, does not continue. I have to use task manager to
shut it down.

I am running Windows XP Pro, SP-1, on a Dell Dimension
8100 with a Pentium (4) 1.30 GHz Processor and 1.0 GB of
RAM. I have all current updates, hot fixes, patches,
etc...but no joy. Any suggestions would be greatly
appreciated.
