1/31/04 I received warnings that 3 .exe files were
attempting to gather information. I have Norton's
Personal Firewall & Anti-Virus programs installed on the
computer. The warnings were continually blocked, but
somehow wupdater.exe got through. When I shut down the
computer, I get a Program Not Responding message, and must
End Task. 2/2/o4 I downloaded all MS Windows Updates for
Windows XP, and ran an anti-virus scan (my last scan was
1/30/04). A virus was not detected, nor did the updates
change the fact that wupdater.exe doesn't respond to shut
down commands. What is happening to my hard drive? Is it
sending password & personal information out? This
morning, msnbb.exe attempted to send information out. I
blocked it, but have no idea what it is. Please help.
