I also would like to see the whole post but I can share an experience I just
had that could be similar. I migrated a Win2k DC to win2k3 and all the
clients were having problems logging in. Most were just slow, others got
messages the DC could not be contacted. The clients were primarily Dell
computers with Broadcom X440 NIC's. All I had to do was download the latest
drivers for the NIC. Disable the autosensing for 10/100 and re-create the
computer account, or have the computer re-join the domain. Afterwards I
re-enabled autosensing on the NIC and they are all fine. For the clients
without this NIC I just re-created the domain computer accounts. The
symptom I was getting was in event viewer on each client it was saying that
the computer or user account was not found and group policy processing had
been skipped. The error was from userenv.
