Hi Sue,
The warning you see is a feature of Windows XP. The Fast User Switching
feature enables multiple users to use a computer without having to close
all running programs and logging off before other users log on.

You should normally see this message only if another user was logged on
during the session or if there is a remote connection to your computer,
such as a Remote Desktop Session (WinXp Pro Only).
RECOMMENDATION:
To prevent this from happening you could disable both Fast User Switching
and Remote Desktop:
