My home computer is running XP Pro and was bought retail.
Originally it was setup to automatically logon with the
built-in Administrator account. I went through the User
Accounts in Control Panel to change to use the
traditional logon screen. Then I required the Ctrl + Alt
+ Del combination to logon through the Local Security
Policy.
This all works fine, however the system is trying to
logon when it starts up using the Administrator user name
with no password. I renamed that account and of course it
has a password. I have checked everything but the
registry for a way to fix that but I have found nothing.
I do not get this problem after just logging off, only at
startup.
Does anyone have a suggestion or ten? This is not
something critical, just very annoying.
