But when I boot up in safe mode, it still asks me for an
admin password, which is causing the problem. My son
deleted an account that was set for autologon - microsoft
says to fix this, I need to change the autologon to 0 in
the registry. Is this a catch-22?

post screen and XP actually beginning to load. If you
can't boot into safe mode, then there's no way to edit
the Registry.
