I have sent this version to the BT technical support team, i am sending it here aswell due to someone may know the answr to why this is happening in the microsoft newsgroup website: I have just subscribed to BT YAHOO internet at the £15.99 a month option and when i go onto the internet using the BT YAHOO intenet connection after a couple of minutes or so a box comes up on my screen headed 'WINDOWS SHUTDOWN' and it forces the computer to shutdown after 60 seconds. I'm in the event viewer on my computer now to see what it was, itsays exactly that; SOURCE: Service control manager TYPE: error USER: N/A EVENT ID(not usefull i don't think) it's 7031 DESCRITPION: The remote procedure call (RPC) service terminated unepectually. It also comes up saying NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM Please could tellme why this is happening and how to fix the problem. It only happens when i'm on the BTOW connection. Also you might like to know that i have tryed around 10 times and the problem still happens and on my other computer aswell (not networked). It isn't anything to do with memory on the computer as i have got alot free around 600mb actually. I would be very gratefull if you could help as i'm not exactly getting my £5.99 1st month surfing. >> i'm on the internet now using a diffrent isp provider and the shutdown box dosn't appear, so there isn't a problem (but this is a pay as you go coner) USERNAME: starworld
