If you don't have access to the old profile that encrypted them, the EFS
certificate from the profile that encrypted them or a certificate from a
designated recovery agent (the latter 2 must be done before access is lost),
then your files I'd say are just occupying bits on the disk platter (i.e.
taking up space) - if there was a back door to EFS encryption, then it
wouldn't have been worth the time/money MS put into it.
