When I try to access the Local Users and Groups in the
MMC there is a red X over the option. When I click on it
I get a message that I can not access computer xxxxx. The
error was: Invalid Syntax.

I have tried to change services to use a specific account
and typing in a valid user name always fails.

If I go to the cmd window and enter net user I can see a
valid list of users.

Win XP Pro SP1
Workgroup PC

Thanks.
