Thanks for the reply.
The printer will print from the local machine it is connected to. In
addition, when I install this printer on another machine, it prints locally
as well. This eliminates the assumption that the printer is not working. The
printer shows as "ready" across the network, and are also able to see the
printing jobs in process. I can ping the machie, and have followed the
troubleshooting to it's logical conclusion with no solution.
I am to understand that Windows XP 2003 can be "agressive" in controlling
it's resources, and feel that this is where the root of the problem lies.
