Seems simple but,,,
I have a xp pro pc, that has simple file sharing disabled.
I share out a folder, and my 98 client cannot access the
folder over the network. Acess denied.
I understand that I can grant permission to EVERYONE, and
this will enable the sharing to take place.
How do I give ONLY that client named "eric" access to the
xp pro pc share?
I see options in the permissions button on the sharing
and security window to ADD a Group or User Name.
However it appears this is a user on the LOCAL computer
because it shows up as local\eric
How do I get the client computer named eric to have
permission to the share?
I have read that you need to create an account for Eric
on the local pc, but when I do that it creates an account
on the LOCAL computer, and doesn't create an account for
a client named Eric.
Thanks if you can help...
